Jon Gilbert founded businesscamconsulting to provide a vital, unique, personal and timely service, responsive to the immediate needs of busy professionals around the globe.
He is an International Business Communication Skills Trainer with extensive IT consulting and training experience as a Business Analyst and Project Manager worldwide. Born in London, he is currently based in the UK after working in Japan for six years, and living in Canada for the prior fourteen (see Professional Experience).
Jon’s career spans a wide variety of applications and industries (including education, finance, banking, accounting, insurance, IT, HR/personnel, medical/health/pharmaceutical, international aid, consumer products, transport) in various organisations and businesses (public and private sector) of many countries, including the UK, Japan, Canada, USA, Mexico, France, Australia, Nepal and Papua New Guinea.
His interpersonal, presentation and facilitation strengths have enabled him to support, train and deal diplomatically with personalities of differing backgrounds and cultures, from administrative staff and new graduates, to senior executives and government ministers.
This allows Jon to adapt and relate to the business, social and cultural concerns of his international clients, resolving their issues in a personal, practical and culturally sensitive manner, by drawing on his own relevant experiences.
With a Japanese wife and young son, both of whom are bilingual, Jon’s lifestyle embraces and enhances his cross-cultural ties and understanding.
